van Rhee Family - Crescent Beach Family Photographer
A summer crescent beach session with a fun family who happened to be amazing at colour coordinating!
It’s always so special and an honour to get to photograph returning clients! Plus, the summer light at the beach is one of my favourite places to photograph people and their loved ones.
Abi and Curtis - Swaneset Wedding Photographer
A stunning wedding in an amazing venue!
This wedding was SO great to photograph from start to finish. I was 8 months pregnant when I photographed it, and it was the best wedding to end my wedding and photography season on! There were so many things that I loved about the whole day:
The bride being one of my friends and co-workers
Abi’s dress!!! And the colours of her bridesmaid dresses
The venue; Swaneset is gorgeous, full of amazing places to photograph a gorgeous couple all in love with their people
The sunset light (!!)
The emotional ceremony - the light was great, the vows were so special to hear, and the love was so evident
Curtis’ entrance to the ceremony with the ringbearers to the instrumental version of Gangsta’s Paradise
The stairs we used for portraits - it feels very vogue and royal-wedding-esque at the same time
It was a beautiful wedding to witness and photograph, and I wish Abi and Curtis the best in their married life!
Quik Family - Abbotsford Family Photographer
Our long summer certainly didn’t disappoint during this family session at golden hour!
I’ve photographed this family a few times before, and each time is so great! Their boys are adorable, and we were blessed with some amazing weather and sunshine.
Elise Burgsma - Abbotsford Newborn Photographer
A sweet newborn session giving me all the feels.
Being pregnant myself makes sessions like these SO special for me; I love getting to document the beginning days of a newborn’s life. They are so tiny and squishable and Elise is especially adorable.
Ronald & Janessa - Abbotsford Wedding Photographer
Ronald & Janessa’s very fun wedding included a trampoline, dairy cows, and a hilarious reception!
Ronald and Janessa were married this spring & it was so much fun documenting their day! A few things that I loved about it:
Their wedding colours! I loved the blue of the bridesmaid dresses
The detail on the back of Janessa’s wedding dress
The absolute joy radiating out of the whole church during the ceremony
The mountain background for their family photos and some of their formals out in Mission
Even though it rained, Janessa and Ronald were SUPER unfazed and just kept doing pictures!
Having some of Ronald’s family there, who came all the way from Holland!
The veil shots of Ronald and Janessa * all the heart eyes *
Their reception venue at Eco-Dairy; the set-up was beautiful, they could get some fun cow shots, and the food was delicious! The entertainment was also hilarious - both of their families did some great skits and speeches!
Thank you for having me along to photograph your wedding day!
Baker Family - Langley Family Photographer
A wonderful summer session!
Campbell valley never disappoints, and neither did this cute family and little Tessa with her strong personality and sweet face!
Willem Appledorn - Chilliwack Newborn Photographer
Photographing this adorable little newborn was a little extra special for me!
I shot this session when I was just about 14 weeks pregnant - right in that first trimester, oh my goodness we’re pregnant feeling, starting to tell people that we’re expecting stage - so I was just extra happy and excited to photograph this little baby boy and these sweet first-time parents.
Extended Family Sessions
Why should you book an extended family session? This is why!
I love extended family sessions! There is something so special about having all of these people that you love together - often, for the first time in a long time! That also makes these sessions a bit nerve-wracking for me; like weddings, these are really important images. Grandma is going to put a big print of the whole family together on the wall, because it’s been five, six, eight, ten years since the last time all her kids and grandkids and great-grandkids were together. One of the aunts will make a family photobook maybe. One year, my grandmom had a mousepad made that had a photo of all her grandkids on it. I take great care when taking and editing and delivering these images, because I know how much they mean to the people in them! These are your people by blood,, the people at your baptisms, weddings, baby showers, the people in your group chats. I want to capture all that love and togetherness for you and your family!
So why should you spend money on an extended family session? Aside from a full family photo that rarely happens, you also get time to have individual family photos (think Christmas card opportunity!), photos with your siblings, photos of just you and your mom & dad - I mean really, it’s all the combinations you can think of in the time we have slotted together!
So don’t delay in booking these - if you know you’ll all be around camping together next summer, make an hour family session a priority! In my personal opinion, you’ll never regret having these images to look back on.
Jerry & Shania - Campbell Valley Maternity Photographer
A maternity session for some first-time parents!
I’m finding it extra special this year to document maternity sessions because of my own pregnancy! Shania won one of my contests last year and it was fun to connect with her and Jerry and document their growing family!
Brian & Anna - Abbotsford Wedding Photographer
A warm summer backyard wedding complete with a golden light and an oreo cake!
Brian and Anna are one of the sweetest couples I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and getting to photograph! From beginning to end, their day was just so full of happiness; it was so easy to see how thankful and smitten the two of them are with each other.
Some of my favourite things about their wedding day:
Doing their first look (and subsequent tractor photos) on Brian’s farm, which is also their first home together!
The stunning property where we did all the rest of their formals! The white barn, the trails, the fields - it was a photographer’s dream.
Anna’s nephew happily playing at the front of the church while Anna and Brian said their vows
The backyard reception set up! I reeally love backyard tent receptions; the light is always so great, the atmosphere is more relaxed, and I love the feel of celebrating a new marriage in a home or a place that has a special connection to the couple!
