I’m Alanna
I'm really thrilled that you've taken the time to look through my work. I believe that getting to know each other will only make for better photographs for you, so here are a bunch of things that make me me.
I've had a camera in my hand since my early teenage years, and some days I can’t believe I get to do this for a living! First and foremost, I’m a follower of Jesus, and I love documenting the love He has placed in our lives. It’s a privilege to be invited into your homes, weddings, and everyday moments. My favorite part of every session is witnessing the connection between people—whether it’s a wedding, a family session, a birth, or friends celebrating grad. God designed us for relationships, and I’m honored to capture those for you.
My photos are warm, true to life, and full of genuine connection. I want to get to know you + your loved ones and capture you the way that you are. Honest, real, timeless photos are my favourite.
LET’S GET PERSONAL:
I got married in 2021 to my best friend - I’ve always been a bit of a romantic, but nothing prepared me for the joy and happiness that can result from committed love. We had our first son in 2022 and another in early 2025. Becoming a parent has been the most incredible and rewarding experience of my life.
I like to refer to myself as an “extroverted introvert.” I love being around people - but I also love being home, on the couch in my comfiest leggings, editing photos or watching really good documentaries and classic rom-coms.
I will never, ever say no to a Starbucks. My favourite drink is a brown sugar oat americano.
Thrifting brings me so much joy. Chances are that if you say you like something I’m wearing, I’ll respond with, “Thanks, it was from the thrift store and it was only five dollars!!” I’ll be weirdly proud and excited about it.
I don't like the cold. I'm not a winter or snow person. It's pretty and everything, but please get it off my car. And the roads. And my feet.
More than anything, I LOVE getting to really know people. I love hearing people’s stories. I love making new friends. I love taking photographs and talking with people of all ages and personalities and interests. I’m SO happy that photography allows me to do both of those things on the regular.
