Jaymie Jolena - Newborn In-Home Photography

The sweetest little in-home session ft. Matt and Sue’s newest arrival, Jaymie Jolena.

Matt and Sue are repeat clients who just had the cutest and sweetest little addition to their growing family. Jaymie Jolena is beautiful, and so clearly adored by her siblings and her parents. It’s too bad I couldn’t be at the hospital like I was for Kenzie’s arrival but I also have a special place in my heart for in-home sessions.

Thanks for letting me capture this precious time in your lives, Schouten family!

Luke & Paige - Chilliwack Backyard Wedding Photographer

An intimate backyard wedding where their son totally stole the show.

Luke and Paige had a intimate backyard party to celebrate their marriage! (If you missed their proposal, you can see that here!) These two had eloped together quietly before, and then had friends and family join them at their home later. It was full of joy, good food, games, and loved ones. And even though this day was definitely about Luke and Paige, their son Axel might have stolen the show COMPLETELY.

Kyle & Hannah - Abbotsford Engagement Photographer

Kyle & Hannah are so clearly in love and give each other so much joy.

I met Kyle and Hannah for photos on a beautiful, bright sunshine-y day that was supposed to be overcast, pouring rain, and cold. It was cold, but so, so bright and clear! We went to Saar Bank Farms (the barn was our location of choice because of the forecast) and got to use the whole property. It was such a fun, wonderful time - these two are so clearly in love with each other and make each other so incredibly happy and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding this summer!

Curtis & Abi - Surrey Photographer

Bless you two for letting me photograph all your happiness. Please let me do it again. Okay thanks.

This whole session KNOCKED MY SOCKS OFF. I have the enormous privilege of getting to work with Abi and her free spirited-ness and joy and we became friends after she joined our EA team (i like to think pretty quickly ;) ), which has been nothing but a blessing. So getting to hang out with her outside of work AND meet her man AND take photos of the two of them all in love AND getting food with them afterwards AND getting to try a new location AND having perfect weather made this whole day the best ever?!

Bless you two for letting me photograph all your happiness. Please let me do it again. Okay thanks.

Sikma Family - Abbotsford Family Photographer

I love this family. I basically grew up with them; I called them Uncle Tom and Aunty Monica, even though we were in no way related. Our families used to spend every new years eve together and I just loved getting to do photos for them.

I love this family. I basically grew up with them; I called them Uncle Tom and Aunty Monica, even though we were in no way related. Our families used to spend every new years eve together. Janelle and I ended up becoming very close friends (like our moms) and we’re even roommates currently (unlike our moms). Janelle, her older sister Vanessa, and I used to run around doing photoshoots, and I’d take hundreds of photographs of them when I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. It makes for good memories at the very least ;) Getting to do photos for them was so wonderful because each and every one of them is so wonderful. We met up in that weird part of winter where it wasn’t quite snowy but it was really cold and that day it was SO COLD that the rain was kind of becoming snow, but not really. They were CHAMPS because I kind of made them get rid of their umbrellas for a few photos and they didn’t complain one bit. Also, they are the proudest grandparents you ever did see.

Cam & Breanna - Abbotsford Wedding Photographer

I hope these photos bring you joy and that when you’re eighty and flipping through your wedding album with your great-grandchildren that you can still remember and feel the specific emotions and moments in each photograph.

This wedding you guys. THIS WEDDING. K first, it was the most beautiful day in January possible. When they booked me originally, I was totally worried about the possibility of having to drive around town all day in the snow, not gonna lie. But their wedding day dawned bright and clear and beautiful.

Breanna got ready in the Sandman Hotel with her bridal party and family - we even dashed across the parking lot to Moxies for a few pre-wedding drinks and then it was off to the clayburn village church, where Cam & Breanna committed their lives to each other in an intimate, emotional service.

After the ceremony and congratulations, we soaked in the sunset at Willband Creek park and I was probably on cloud nine. The light was phenomeeenaaall.

Seriously you guys, I have nothing but fond and happy memories of your wedding day, and I feel so honored to have been able to photograph one of the most important days of your lives. I hope these photos bring you joy and that when you’re eighty and flipping through your wedding album with your great-grandchildren that you can still remember and feel the specific emotions and moments in each photograph.
